Yupo Paper sculptures by Robert Burnier, a Chicago artist who also works at the Art Institute of Chicago. Yupo Paper is a plastic material that is used in artwork, design, and some commercial products. In making these pieces, the artist observed angles in one crumpled piece of paper, drew and transfered them to a design program and then created a pattern to make these unique three dimensional shapes.
The entire SHRED 2012 book produced by AIGA of Hampton Roads is printed on YUPO Paper - making it one “TOUGH ” book !
